Google reveals the reason for the disappearance of Google My Business reviews
Por Admin
Google has confirmed the reason for missing and disappearing Google My Business reviews, an issue that may not be resolved anytime soon. Several weeks ago, SEO specialists started pointing out that Google My Business reviews had disappeared.
In some cases, a maximum of one or two reviews were viewed, in others all business reviews disappeared. Those who have reached out to Google about the missing reviews have been told that it is a bug that is being addressed, but the problem has persisted for a long time now. Apparently, the issue is not related to other errors that occurred in Google My Business where listings got stuck after adding short names.
Since then there has been an update from Google that sheds some light on why the reviews were missing. The company says legitimate reviews have been inadvertently removed from business listings during Google's efforts to remove fake reviews. If you take it at face value legitimate reviews were accidentally removed and may or may not be restored.
There is some news that unfortunately those reviews will not come back and that they have been deleted and will not be restored unfortunately. The company seeks to solve the problem and restore real and legitimate comments and reviews as quickly as possible, but it seems that the process of eliminating fake reviews will not pass without various profits losing real reviews from real customers. Time will tell if the problem will be resolved, in the meantime there is nothing companies can do because the solution to the problem is in Google's hands.
