The two latest versions of Pokémon games have been released on the Facebook gaming platform, and we are talking about Pokémon Tower Battle and Pokémon Medallion Battle. Pokémon Tower Battle is available worldwide, and pits two players against each other.
The developer said: “As players discover and catch rare Pokémon, they can compete in real time against friends or across global leaderboards. It may seem like a simple physics-based puzzle game at first, but the game is much bigger than that.” In comparison Pokémon Medallion Battle seems to be a bit more in-depth, but it's only available to play in the Philippines right now. It's a digital card battle game that lets you collect Pokémon in the form of medals, which you can level up and win gym badges, and try to fill your Pokédex with new Pokémon released every month, according to Variety.
Judging by the screenshots, it uses the usual item-based combat system, and even offers some social features. Both games are designed to work on Facebook's Instant Games platform and come as the company makes more efforts to attract players. Earlier this year, it launched a dedicated gaming tab, and the American company now says that more than 700 million of its users play games, watch game videos, or participate in gaming groups every month. The company also recently bought Spanish cloud gaming company PlayGiga.
On the other hand, the Japanese company that developed Pokémon games commented by saying: “Launching these games via Facebook will allow people around the world to experience Pokémon in digital form, and we are very happy to cooperate with the Facebook gaming platform in enabling a new audience to enjoy Pokémon games online.” #Games #Pokemon Games #Facebook
