14 years of giving. A glimpse of the founders of Google. Google celebrates 14 years since the founding of Google. Happy Birthday, Google. What a beautiful birthday. But it is a birthday for someone close to you, or for your son, or for you personally. But it is the birthday of a gigantic entity that is the owner and a benefactor of mankind, which is the organization of information on the international network and the latest innovation of the information age. “Google” wants to tell you that it has been 14 years at your service and we continue to give, but I wonder how Google was created. Do you know? And who are its founders? In the beginning, CEO Larry Page was passionate about computer science, for genetic reasons. His father, Carl, a professor at the University of Michigan, was one of the first to study computer science, and his mother, Gloria, who worked as a database consultant, holds a master’s degree in computer science.

Larry studied engineering at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and obtained his doctorate from Stanford. He met his partner Sergey Brin in the mid-nineties. Sergei was born in Moscow - Russia, and when he was six years old, Sergei immigrated with his family to the United States. His father was (and still is) a mathematician and university professor, while his mother is also specialized in mathematics, and worked for the US Space Agency.

In September 1990, after completing his secondary school education - i.e. pre-university - he joined the University of Maryland - College Park to study mathematics and computer science, and obtained his bachelor’s degree in May 1993 with an excellent and honorable grade to complete his master’s studies at Stanford with a scholarship he obtained from the National Science Foundation. First, what does the name Google mean? This name came as a result of the distortion of the term googole, and this expression refers in the language of mathematics to the number 1 followed by a hundred zeros. As days passed, Google became a “reality” and was added to English dictionaries.

It has become famous and means using the Google engine to search for information through the Internet. In 1995, one weekend, Sergei was walking with a group of young men when he met Larry. At that time, several discussions took place in which opinions and viewpoints diverged, and the idea that united them came, which was considered one of the biggest challenges in the field of computers at that time, which was retrieving linked data from a huge amount of data. The beginning was by creating a primitive search machine called Backup, which formed the nucleus for solving the problem of searching on the Internet. It was later developed with their professor at the university, Rajeev Motwani, who had adopted Sergei since his arrival at Stanford.

In August of 1998, Sergey and Larry met with Andy Bechselim, one of the computer geniuses and one of the investors who supported the Cisco Communications Equipment Corporation and one of the founders of Sun Micro System. Bechselim, known for his adventurous spirit, was enough for him. One look at this seed was enough for him, and he was certain that Google had a great chance of success, and even so much of it that he interrupted Sergey’s extensive explanation of the project. He said to them: Instead of discussing all these details, why don't I write you a check for 100 thousand dollars? In fact, the check for this amount was written in the name of Google Limited.

This check caused a small problem, as there was no commercial entity (Google Limited) at that time, so they could not cash this check. It remained in the desk drawer for two weeks, and then Larry and Sergey began their moves to establish this entity, as it was necessary for its capital to be one million dollars, so they searched for shareholders from family, friends, and acquaintances, and after a great effort, they were able to raise the founding amount. September 1998, Google opened its office in Menlo Park, California, specifically in the parking garage they rented from a friend. The door was equipped with a remote control, and the office also had a washing machine, dryer, steam bath, and parking for the company’s first employee, Craig Silvertine, who currently holds the position of director of technology at the company.

At that time, Google was still an experimental site and was answering 10,000 searches daily. The press began to notice the new company and its experimental site and began to notice the difference in the new search engine. I wrote articles about them in (USA TODAY) and (Le Monde), and in December, PC Magazine added Google as one of its top 100 search engines for the year 1998, and from here was the beginning of Google’s rise. This was the beginning of the giant Google, from a small headquarters inside a university dormitory, until it developed to meet about three million searches per day. How beautiful it is to work in an entity that values creators and their creativity.

So are you going to say Happy Birthday to Google? Larry Page CEO

Eric E. Schmidt Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors

Sergey Brin, Co-Founder #GoogleNews #GoogleBirthday #GoogleFounders
