“El Salvador will invest some of the $4 million gains it received from Bitcoin investments to build a veterinary hospital.”
President of El Salvador Nayib Bukele. BTC lost nearly 10 percent of its value on September 9, after the Central American country of El Salvador became the first country in the world to declare the cryptocurrency as legal tender. But it jumped more than 30 percent last week to its highest levels since May.
The Bitcoin Trust, which Congress authorized in August, with $150 million, now has a “surplus” of $4 million, Bukele said. “So we decided to invest part of this money in this: a veterinary hospital for our furry friends,” Bukele wrote on Twitter.
He said that the veterinary hospital will provide basic and emergency care services in addition to rehabilitation. Source
