Today, Blackmagic CEO showcased a new version of the popular Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cameras series with its new name, the BMPCC 6K Pro, with new and advanced features that give it longer battery life options, ND filters built into the camera, as well as a pan-and-tilt LCD screen. Just like its predecessor, the BMPCC 6K, the 10-bit Apple ProRes 4:2:2 codec is only available up to 4K resolution, and for higher resolutions it is only available in Blackmagic RAW at 12-bit.
The camera is slightly larger than its 6K predecessor. The camera has a large 5-inch/12.7 cm LCD screen on the back with a brightness of 1500 nits and is adjustable as it can be tilted up or down. There's an additional Mini XLR audio input, so the BMPCC6K Pro has a total of two Mini
