Rubik's Invention Where did the Rubik's Cube game originate? The Rubik's Cube was invented in 1974   by Hungarian sculptor and architecture professor Erno Rubik.

From here this cube later derived its name, and it was originally called the magic cube (“Magic Cube”). Rubik gave a license to Ideal Toys Company to sell his invention, and in fact that company began producing and selling this cube, and today this cube has achieved sales of 450,000,000 cubes until March 2013 all over the world.

The invention of Rubik was worked by Professor Arno Rubik at the Academy of Applied Arts in the Department of Interior Design in mid-1970, in the city of Budapest, Hungary. It is mentioned that during that period, Professor Rubik built this cube for an educational purpose that would help students at that time understand the three-dimensional entity. One of the goals of this construction was to find a structure that would allow parts of a body to be moved independently of each other without this leading to the collapse of the entire body. Rubik did not realize that he had created a puzzling puzzle until he changed the shape of the cube and tried to rebuild it for the first time. In 1975, Arno presented his invention and obtained patent No. HU170062 for what he called at the time “Magic Cube.” This patent was local and he was not able to obtain a global patent for his magic cube at that time.

In late 1977, the first batches of this cube were produced, and companies began distributing them to shops spread throughout the Hungarian capital, Budapest. The initial design of these cubes was a set of links made of pure plastic, which, by distributing them, allowed the rotation of these small pieces without causing them to disintegrate. Then came the expected agreement with the Ideal Company, which in turn published this game in Europe, which was one of the most important countries in which this game spread at its time (London - Nuremberg - New York - Paris). After that, production stopped due to safety factors followed in European countries, and in fact, this cube was redesigned to comply with the safety policies followed in those countries, and after that remanufacturing process, the name of the cube was changed to its current name (Rubik’s Cube).

Many companies have illegally developed this cube, and to this day these companies are still producing these cubes in unofficial capacities and in different sizes and shapes. #Google scribbles
