[Google Scribbles] The day of love, commonly known as Valentine's Day
By Admin
Today, the world, especially those who speak English, celebrates a beautiful occasion in which love is expressed. This day has been given many names, such as Valentine’s Day, Lovers’ Day, Valentine’s Day, and also Saint Valentine’s Day. This day has a special symbolism for Christians, but we see many people of different religions celebrating this day and exchanging congratulations with those they love. Google Scribbles did not miss the opportunity and today changed its logo to coincide with this anniversary. By clicking on the logo, the browser will take us to the search process for Valentine’s D.
Speaking of this day, there are many contradictory opinions in our Arab world between supporters and opponents of this day, and looking at things from the perspective of logic, this holiday is specific to conservative Christians and they celebrate it regularly on February 14 of each year, so some who embrace a different religion have the right to oppose the idea on the principle of its lack of connection to their religion. But if we want to look at this issue from a slightly different angle, Valentine’s Day has taken off its religious garb and countries have begun to celebrate it and consider it a day to express feelings and exchange greeting cards. This is a beautiful thing for a person to express his feelings on this day in particular and on all days in general, as this may add a lot of comfort and romance to the relationship. Valentine's Day is considered one of the second largest holidays in the world, and some statistics have shown that the number of cards exchanged on this day in Britain and some other European countries exceeds all other holidays, reaching second place after Mother's Day.
This table shows the comparison between searches conducted on Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and Father's Day, which had the lowest percentage. Valentine’s Day in the Arab countries: In the Arab countries, we mention that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has forbidden this holiday through the Mufti of Saudi Arabia, saying, “It is an heretical holiday that has no basis in Sharia law, and because it calls for the heart to be occupied with trivial matters that contradict the guidance of the righteous predecessors, it is not permissible for any of the rituals of the holiday to happen on this day, whether it is in food, drink, clothing, giving gifts, or anything else. The Muslim must be dear to his religion and not be a follower of every shouter.”
As for Egypt, Dr. Abdel-Azim Al-Mutani issued a fatwa, saying: “Allocating specific days to celebrate them in order to strengthen social relations between people, such as Valentine’s Day, is permissible, and it is permissible to attend celebrations that are held for this purpose on the condition that we do not believe that they are among the rituals of religion and that we do not do anything in them that leads to committing sin, and that it is a way to please God Almighty by thanking His blessings, appreciating His bestowal, and acknowledging His bounty and kindness to His creation and servants, and within the limits of what the law of God Almighty has permitted and permitted. And when the celebration of it is completely free of commotion, dancing, amusement, solitude, mingling, heresies, superstitions, and other forbidden things and prohibitions, and everything that leads to corruption, when that is permissible to attend it and it is permissible to revive it and participate in it out of courtesy and as a bond of friendship and good relationship and honorable connection to the method of God and the guidance of His Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace. It is noteworthy that in Egypt, in 2006, according to what was mentioned in Wikipedia, the Egyptian people spent approximately 6 million Egyptian pounds on buying flowers on this occasion.
As for Morocco: The Moroccan people view the issue of celebrating Valentine’s Day as a personal matter, and that Valentine’s Day is nothing but a European celebration that has gone global, and the people do not see in it any contradiction with the values and principles of Moroccan society, as it is a symbolic celebration through which people exchange flowers, gifts, and express feelings. It is worth noting that similar to this day, similar opposite holidays appeared: White Day (the fourteenth of March) - a holiday similar in content to Valentine’s Day.
Black Day (April 14th) – the day when single people celebrate not having a life partner. Although the title of Valentine's Day is far from what we write in SEO in Arabic, we wanted to express on this day our love for you and our love for the loyal followers of SEO in Arabic with whom we started the path and will continue with them.
