A new design for the YouTube application that encourages the creation of videos

The YouTube application was originally aimed at consuming content, especially since most video creators uploaded the clip through the computer, but this began to change quickly with the increasing number of content creators who depend on their smartphones for this. A more prominent-looking button that is larger than the other buttons has been added in the middle of the bottom bar of the app screen, and some other changes have been made to the placement. The YouTube mobile application is mainly used to consume content and provides the creator with the function of uploading a video clip, broadcasting live, or creating something new and sharing it with subscribers and followers. Also for the general public, the application offers the function of watching and sharing videos, commenting, and much more, including exploring the stories that appear below the videos and in the main one as well, which are videos designed primarily for phones.

What happened to the bottom bar in the application is that it still contains 5 buttons as usual, except that the notifications button was removed and moved to the top bar, while the content creation button, which was small and present in the top bar, is the one that moved and the icon changed from a camera icon to a large + icon. YouTube says adding this new button and making it more prominent than other buttons is a way to make the process of creating videos on mobile easier for creators. There has been no change to the functionality but only the appearance and access to the button that has become more visible. This update has already been rolled out in India with version 15.30 of the app for Android, and the development team says that they are working on the same change for iOS soon as well while making it available to iOS and Android users around the world.
