The Life of Hannah Arendt Arendt was born in a small town called Linden in Germany. She was the daughter of a secular family of German Jews. She was raised in Berlin and Konsberg. It is worth noting here that the motives behind Hannah’s pursuit of politics were the difficult stages of life that she went through, despite her love for philosophy since childhood. This love culminated in her joining the Department of Philosophy at the University of Marburg, through which she met Martin Heidegger, the person whom Hannah loved and entered into a very long love relationship with him, but this relationship led to Arendt was harshly criticized because Martin supported the Nazi Party at the time. The spread of Nazi rule in Germany in 1933 constituted a turning point for Hannah, which prompted her to pursue politics and leave philosophy in its theoretical sense. She was arrested in the same year, but after a while the decision came to release her on conditions of remaining under surveillance, but she soon succeeded in escaping to France and from there to the United States.

Arendt worked as a journalist, as well as a linguistic reviewer and university lecturer, after which she began her real political life. One of the most important books she wrote was the book The Origins of Totalitarianism, which dealt with revealing in depth the origins of totalitarian regimes by studying the most prominent totalitarian regimes in the world, “German Nazism” and “Russian Stalinism.” She explained in her book the extent of the danger that these regimes pose to society.
