We all speak Arabic, so why doesn't our web speak our mother tongue, Dhad? We invite you to join us over the next month in a huge program that seeks to enrich Arabic content on the Internet! Participate with us by writing a blog or tweet in Arabic, or by preparing a video clip on YouTube, or designing websites in Arabic, as these are all great ways to enrich digital Arabic content.
We're really looking forward to seeing your content and we're looking to make a real difference in the next 30 days to ignite the enthusiasm for something big! “Arab Internet Days” events are a program we presented with the aim of breathing life into the Arab web and increasing the volume of Arabic content on the Internet. Google is partnering with Vinelab, Wamda, and the Tweets Initiative in the Middle East and North Africa to prepare this program, in which Twitter, WikiPedia, TED, Soundcloud, and YouTube are also participating.
Two strong supporters at the local level are also participating in the program, namely the Abu Dhabi Media Zone Authority, twofour54, and the Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI). The series of events scheduled to be held online and offline over the course of an entire month seeks to engage users and bring them into the movement with the aim of achieving a faster pace in the creation of digital content in the Arabic language in the Middle East and North Africa region. Joining the “Arabic Wikipedia Editors” program in its second session after its launch within the framework of the “Arab Internet Days” activities, to become professional in Arabic language editing on Wikipedia through 4 main steps. Wamda shares tips and tricks about Internet journalism. Users can participate in hangouts with a Google employee to learn more information about web search engine optimization. YouTube hosts a hangout on how to expand audiences and accelerate content diffusion to increase its viewership. A hangout is conducted with the Internet Name Authority. And ICANN assigned numbers. To learn more information about domain names in the Arabic language, you can join a forum for Arab Twitter users about YouTube.
In Doha, Qatar on December 15 to learn how to create viral videos and how to monetize them through YouTube. Participated in the “Tajsid” competition for infographics in the Arabic language in its second year, in cooperation with the Tweets Initiative. He participated in the event hosted by twofour54 and the “Tweets Initiative”, with the participation of TED in Abu Dhabi on the 4th of next December, and participated in training software developers during the g|days events in Jordan on the 5th and 6th of December, and in Egypt on the 9th and 10th of the same month.
