This week witnessed a noticeable increase in Google's interest in AMP pages. Google made two very important improvements related to AMP pages. In today's article, I will briefly touch on these improvements, but before that, I will briefly explain to you the concept of AMP pages in case you have not heard this term before. I wish you all the fun and benefit. First, let me give you an overview of AMP pages. If you are familiar with this type of page, you can skip the current paragraph and move directly to the next paragraph. The term AMP is an abbreviation for the following word, accelerated mobile pages, which means “accelerated mobile pages” in Arabic. They are pages that Google created to speed up browsing websites from a smartphone as much as possible. They are regular pages in which everything that could slow down the opening process, such as JavaScript and others, has been removed without affecting the actual content. For the page, you will notice the difference between the regular page and the AMP page, noticeably when you open both pages from your mobile phone. We return to our main topic, which is the improvements and changes made by Google to AMP pages. When Google officially launched AMP pages, the appearance of these pages was limited to Google News only. This week, Google officially announced that we will begin to see these pages on the search results page, normally and similar to the current search results. If the user will find at the bottom of the page an icon indicating that this page is an accelerated AMP page, a new improvement and a step that may prompt many to start seriously thinking about building pages.
AMP has long been part of the primary search results on Google. Another improvement that Google added related to AMP pages is to update the page content dynamically and without the need to reload the page. In other words, if you are browsing one of the AMP pages and the page content is updated on the server, the page content will be automatically updated on your mobile phone without the need to reload the page or press the refresh button.
These two improvements from Google regarding AMP pages may prompt many website owners and content publishers to seriously think about building AMP pages, especially if a large percentage of their followers and visitors come from smartphones, in order to maintain the percentage of visitors and so that they do not suffer from any decline in traffic volume. #GoogleNews #SearchEngineOptimization #GoogleSEO #SEO #GoogleSEOtag
