Learn in Arabic: I published some tips on the official Google AdSense blog regarding avoiding copyright infringement, and I thought it was very necessary to convey them to the Arab user, given that many accounts are closed every day due to violating this type of policy. One of the wonderful advantages of the Internet is that it makes huge amounts of information and entertainment available to us. Through it, we can directly watch videos, listen to music, read news articles, and much more. However, it is important to remember that these works available on the Internet may be protected under copyright law.
We'd like to take a moment to explain AdSense's policies regarding copyrighted material and provide some advice on how to comply with these policies. AdSense Policies Our policies are against displaying ads next to copyrighted material that you don't have authorization to use. Simply put, you can't show AdSense ads next to copyrighted content that violates copyright laws, or links to such content.
Below are the Program Policies in more detail.
What are works protected by copyright law? Generally, any original, creative work displayed online is considered a work protected under copyright law. However, there are some exceptions such as material that deals with pure facts or material that has entered the public domain.
However, the scope of copyright law generally remains very broad. Do you have the right to use the material? In most cases, you may not display most general entertainment such as TV shows, movies, and popular music on your website unless you have a special license or exception that allows you to do so.
If you created all of the content from scratch, you retain the copyright. You're generally free to monetize this type of content in any way you want. However, if you are not the creator of the content or you created it using other people’s content as source material for your content, you must ask yourself before you advertise alongside the content: Do you have a license or is there an exception that allows you to do so?
You may need to obtain permission from the copyright holder of the material on the website. This type of permission is commonly known as a license. In this case, you are on the right track as long as your use of the content is consistent with your license.
There are also exceptions to copyright law that may apply to your use. The fair use doctrine in the United States, as well as similar exceptions in other countries, allows certain types of uses of copyrighted material. Common examples in this regard are criticism or scholarship.
There are also other exceptions related to copyright law in addition to the above. We don't want AdSense to be used in ways that could lead to copyright infringement, so we sometimes take a risk if a website doesn't show a clear legal basis for use or linking to copyrighted material. Linking to file sharing hosting sites Our policies are against displaying ads on the same page as links to other websites hosting copyrighted material without permission.
It should be noted that these websites have multiple forms, such as forums, blogs, or social websites. Report copyright infringements If you believe that a website participating in the AdSense program is displaying your copyrighted material without right, please report using
