Red, the leading company in the cinema camera industry, announced a new camera called the V-Raptor, which is considered the company's first camera in the DSMC3 production line. RED V-RAPTOR CAMERA SPECIFICATIONS The camera features a Vista Vision (8192 x 4320) 8K sensor with a sensor size of 40.96mm, which provides the ability to shoot with a dynamic range of up to 17 stops, with a Canon RF lens holder, with support for EF and PL style lenses when using adapters. The camera is capable of shooting with 16Bit color coding in REDCODE RAW format at a frame rate of 120 frames per second at 8K resolution, at 240 frames at 4K resolution, and 480 frames at 2K resolution. When shooting in 17:9 (2.4:1) format, a frame rate of 600 frames per second can be reached at 2K resolution. The camera also contains a CFexpress memory input capable of transferring files quickly. 800MB/s, which is approximately 1GB per second. In addition to all of the above, the camera provides two 12G-SDI outputs with the ability to transfer 4K files, and an Mobile.

V-RAPTOR: Structure and size Just like the previous version, KOMODO, the camera is characterized by its small size and white color, weighing 1.8 kilograms, with a body built of aluminum, resistant to water splashes, dust, and weather factors, with a V-Lock battery inlet, which allows the use of a smaller version of the batteries known as Micro V-Lock, in addition to 6-Pin batteries. The camera can also be operated by direct electricity, or what is known as DC-IN. V-RAPTOR: Price and availability The new version of the RED V-RAPTOR is available in limited copies now on the official website at a price of $24,500. Quantities may run out on the official website, but more will be released on the market later in conjunction with the release of the black version by the end of 2021.
